Ben Napier Bio
Ben and Erin Napier, stars of HGTV’s Home Town, live and restore homes in the small town of Laurel, Mississippi. Ben, a woodworker, author and entrepreneur with a degree in history, embraces a passion for preserving and renovating historic homes. In the couple's series, home-buying families benefit from Erin’s design savvy and her imaginative house-portraits as well as Ben's construction expertise, woodworking skills and custom renovations that frequently incorporate local and reclaimed materials. The HGTV hit has also inspired several spinoffs, including Home Town Takeover and Home Town Kickstart. Ben is the past president of Laurel’s Main Street America chapter, dedicated to promoting the rebirth of their historic downtown district. When Ben and Erin aren’t renovating homes for new residents, the couple keeps themselves busy with their two daughters, Helen and Mae — and with operating Laurel Mercantile, a shop in downtown Laurel that specializes in heirloom wares and durable goods made in the United States. Ben also runs Scotsman Co., his woodshop where he builds fine furnishings and wood products using reclaimed materials. Erin and Ben recently expanded their operation to include a factory producing cutting boards and countertops in order to boost the local economy.
