"Ever since I took down my Christmas tree, I've missed the soft glow the tree emitted throughout my living room. So, my design goal for this year is to incorporate more ambient lighting throughout my home to achieve that warmth all year long. The designers of this modern kitchen, In Good Company, mastered the cozy lighting look by including an array of lighting types, from ambient to task to accent. For my kitchen, I’m going to start by grabbing an adorable mini lamp for my countertop and some cordless under-cabinet lighting." — Morgan Faulkner, Editor

"My design goal for 2025 is to liven up my space with more indoor plants. My home doesn’t get a lot of natural light so I haven’t had much luck with houseplants in the past, but I currently have a couple of low-light plants that are thriving, so I’m ready to branch out and try a few more. I’d love to add a trailing plant (like pothos) to bring some interest to a bookshelf in my living room, and something with height (like a snake plant) to fill an empty corner of my dining room." — Shannon Phillips, Managing Editor

"Even though it's the first space people see when they enter my home, I've neglected my entryway for far too long. So, 2025 is going to be the year of the foyer. I've already tackled the white shiplap with the perfect greige paint color (the farmhouse look isn't my vibe anymore). But next, I'd like to add some gold hooks and a bench that can be a chic drop zone, bonus points if I can sneak some baskets underneath it for extra storage." — Ellie Sanders, Editor
