
Bio
Colleen Sullivan became a staff contributing editor at HGTV magazine in 2012 where she covered home, entertaining, and real estate. She represented the magazine on national television shows like Today.com and hosted events including the Macy's Flower Show. Colleen currently writes for HGTV.com where she produces stories featuring the network's talent roster. She also produces home stories for Today.com, Business Insider, and MyDomaine.
Before starting her freelance career, she was an editor at Health, Working Woman, and Vogue magazines. While at Time Inc., she was the creator of the lifestyle makeover magazine Change. She also pitches television concepts to production companies (having sold a show idea about the college admission process to Sony) and teaches a graduate-level beauty and fashion journalism class at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.

Experience
Colleen is a life-long lover of old homes and gardens. She has renovated four houses built in the 1920s, including two historical cottages at the Jersey Shore. During the recent pandemic, she constructed a greenhouse in her backyard where she grows fruits and vegetables.
