David Bromstad Bio

David Bromstad, host of HGTV's hit series My Lottery Dream Home, began his tenure with HGTV as the season-one winner of HGTV Design Star, then later as the finalists' mentor in subsequent seasons. Known for his endless energy and out-of-the-box thinking, David began his career as a design student at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

Earnest, passionate, talented and innovative, David creates awe-inspiring works on many platforms, including custom art, furniture building and interior design. David says he "blends styles that incorporate realism and fantasy." In the HGTV series Color Splash, he combined that approach with a love of color and practical advice. showing viewers how to transform tired rooms into unique, vibrant spaces.

Now, in My Lottery Dream Home, David takes recent lottery winners on over-the-top house hunts for their new dream homes. In addition, David put his design skills back in action by teaming up with fellow HGTV Design Star winner Tiffany Brooks on season two of Rock the Block.
