For many pet parents, pups are family, so include well-behaved fidos in the festivities. Check with guests beforehand to ensure that no one in attendance is overly fearful of pups and remind guests that only fully vetted and friendly dogs should come. Also, keep pet safety top of mind — hosting furry guests in a securely fenced backyard is the best bet.

Ask guests not to feed your pup any foods you haven't approved — and to do the same for any canine guests at your party.
