Taniya Nayak

Known for her sunny smile and sharp eye, Taniya Nayak's approachable take on interior design has won her fans ranging from first-time homebuyers to rock stars. A knack for bringing rich textures and unexpected finishes together with practical, real-life functionality has made her a go-to design expert on major networks including ABC, HGTV and Food Network.

On HGTV, Taniya puts her design expertise to use as a mentor in the network's Battle on the Beach. In that series, alongside fellow mentors Alison Victoria and Ty Pennington, Taniya advises competitors as they renovate three identical beach properties and compete to produce the most value. In addition to Battle on the Beach Taniya Nayak has appeared on the HGTV series Designed to Sell, Build It Forward, House Hunters on Vacation, Urban Oasis and HGTV Showdown as well as on Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible.

Taniya’s helpful decorating tips have been featured in Architectural Digest India, HGTV Magazine, Design New England, People, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and many more. Taniya has appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC’s Good Morning America & The View, NBC’s Today, CBS’ The Early Show & The Talk, and she is a regular guest on Rachael Ray.

Born in India and raised in Boston, Taniya was ranked in the top 10 of INDIA New England’s Business Women of the Year in 2004 and nominated again in 2017. In April 2011, Taniya was honored with an Excellence in Design award from ASID New England.

Taniya is currently based in Boston, where she is the principal interior architect of Taniya Nayak Design and serves on the advisory board for her alma mater Boston Architectural College.
