Tour This All-Pink A-Frame in Waco and Then Shop the Look for Your Own Home
Alli Pozeznik's retro Texas pad is a must-book on Airbnb. It's Barbie meets '70s kitsch with a generous helping of cowgirl aesthetic. Take a peek inside and shop the same decor, furniture and accessories.

Alli Pozeznik had one rule when remodeling her most recent rental property: "If it's not pink, it can't be." The 1,750-square-foot A-frame home known as the Pink Waco A-Frame was built in 1984 and features four bedrooms, two bathrooms and can sleep up to seven guests. And while Alli says there are more than 600 Airbnbs in Waco, Texas, this one earns a lot of bookings for its pink-on-pink palette. If you owned the 1978 Barbie Dreamhouse or the 1994 Camp Barbie Cabin Retreat, you have to see this A-frame on the inside.
“I love A-frames because of the nostalgia, the retro flair, and they’re leisure worthy,” says Alli. “These were like second homes, vacation homes. So, I instantly could see me and my friends around this fire.”

THE BEIGE BEFORE
It wasn’t always pretty in pink. When Alli bought the home it was the blandest, yellowy-beige both inside and out. “And the ceilings were yellow!” she says. “So, I knew that it was really going to need a whole new coating.”

The retro wood paneling was dated and made the living spaces look dark and cramped. And the flooring throughout featured dingy old green carpet.
AN OBSESSION WITH PINK
Alli knew she needed to do something to make this Airbnb stand out, and once the fun, all-pink palette came to mind, the epiphany quickly “turned into an obsession as I continued to see more things that I could put in this house that were pink.”
Both the interior and exterior walls throughout the home are Sherwin-Williams Priscilla. And so many thrifted items — from wall art to lava lamps — were painted pink with Montana Gold Pink Cadillac spray paint, which Alli says is one of her favorite shades of pink. Flooring was another chance to showcase her love of bubblegum pink. The kitchen, dining room and bathrooms all feature a faux terrazzo pink vinyl from Tarkett. “It's so much fun,” she says. “It's the perfect bubblegum pink.”
THE KITCHEN + DINING ROOM
Alli added pink to every nook and cranny, from lining each kitchen drawer with pink contact paper to splurging on a Samsung bespoke pink refrigerator.

The dining room shows off some of her most impressive vintage scores, such as the floating sideboard and 1980s upholstered velvet chairs. “These are made for me,” she says. “This is like a whole vibe when you walk in there and you see these pink dining chairs and you see these cowgirl hats.”

THE LIVING ROOM
Alli designed the living room with vacation and her best friends in mind. “This is where I want us to be hanging out at night,” she says. “We're doing maybe happy hour. We're doing morning coffee. This is where the community is built and this is the space that we're going to gravitate toward.”

And at a whopping 10 feet long, everyone can pile on the pink sectional sofa which has tons of comfy, cozy pillows and throws. But the other seating in the room totally steals the show: the lip sofa. “That was one of my absolute favorite purchases,” she says. “You're going to see her right when you come in the house, and you're going to want to take a picture.”

True to location, there’s even a Western-inspired study nook in the corner of the living room for travelers to work and study.

THE BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS
But the real Texas theming comes out in one of the bedrooms. It’s cowgirl cuteness with a fun hand-painted mural by Austin artist Christy Beard and a cowgirl boot-patterned comforter from Society6.

This bedroom also has one of Alli’s most cherished vintage finds: a midcentury modern upholstered swivel chair. “Total bucket list, vintage item,” she says.

The upstairs bedrooms have more unique layouts given the home’s signature slanted walls and feature funky retro florals, from the curtains to the bedding to the wall art — some of which Alli painted pink. “No surprise,” she says.

THE OUTDOOR SPACE
There’s no shortage of pink outside, too. But Alli leaned into the red with the patio furniture to contrast with the outdoor space’s pea gravel terrain, which Alli lay herself. All 12 tons of it. The home and its renovations became Alli’s “biggest goal.”

“This is all I did,” she says. “I worked full time and [then] I came here.”
But now Alli is able to enjoy the vacation home herself and with friends. There’s tons of seating and a gorgeous double tulip table for alfresco dining as well as a firepit and hot tub for enjoying evenings under the stars in Waco.

“The plan was to have groups of women come here to hang out, catch up and laugh,” she says. “And I hope it inspires other women. We can do so much fun stuff.”
