Mini Lavender Pot Cocktail Stirrer

Faux Lavender Springs in Orange Mini Pot on Dowel Makes Drink Stirrer

Lavender Pot Drink Stirrer

First, use a paint brush to paint the outside of the small wooden pot with one coat of orange paint. Once dry, paint the inside. Next, take the dried pot and add a dab of hot glue to the bottom hole using a low-temp hot glue gun to ensure a snug fit. Then, push the 5’’ dowel rod through the hole about 1’’ from the top. Let dry. Finally, use scissors to trim a few sprigs of lavender to different lengths, around 2’’ in length. Then use a low-temp hot glue gun to affix each sprig to the inside of the pot. Adjust and layer as desired.

Stencil + Paint + Rinse

Place an adhesive flower stencil onto one side of a rocks glass, close to the center. Press firmly on the stencil to ensure there are no gaps, or the etching cream could bleed under the stencil (Image 1). Next, put on protective gloves. Using a paintbrush, brush a thick layer of etching cream over the stencil on the glass and let it rest according to package directions, or about 3 minutes (Image 2). Then, thoroughly rinse the glass and stencil with water. Remove stencil from glass and continue rinsing with water until all etching cream is removed. Repeat the above steps on the other side of the glass, if desired (Image 3).

Lavender simple syrup is a key ingredient in a Lavender Collins cocktail, the drink this basket is built around! To make it, simply fill a saucepan with 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar, 1 8-ounce package blackberries and 3 tablespoons of fresh or dried lavender flowers. Bring ingredients to a boil, stir, then remove from heat and strain the syrup into a bowl to remove flowers and berries. Pour the syrup into a glass bottle and add a sticker label with the Lavender Collins drink recipe (Image 1). Then, add the free sticker labels to club soda and gin for a cohesive look. Tip: Print the recipe card directly onto sticker paper. Or, use a gift tag and affix it to the bottle top with twine.
