Step up your card game with this unique folding heart card inspired by this TikTok from viiviiana_x, which is perfect for any occasion — birthdays and anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and more. You can personalize it with your own photos and decorations to make it extra special.
Prepare Card Base
Start with two pieces of colored paper (Image 1). The paper should be the weight of printer paper — card stock or other heavyweight paper will make the card too difficult to fold. Cut the two pieces of colored paper into 7-inch squares. Fold the cut-out squares in half diagonally, horizontally and vertically (Image 2).

Make Heart Pattern
Cut and fold a 7-inch piece of scrap paper the same way you did in the last step. Draw and cut out a curve from the corner of the paper that creates a heart when the paper is opened. It may take a few attempts on scrap paper until you get a heart shape you’re happy with. Once you have your pattern, trace it onto the colored paper and cut it out (Images 1-3).

Finish Card Base
Fold the page horizontally and vertically to trace the heart onto those quadrants (Image 1). Cut them out to end up with three hearts and one square on each sheet (Image 2). Repeat this for the second piece of paper and glue them together with the squares overlapping (Image 3).

Make Colored Hearts
Trace one heart onto scrap paper and cut it out (Image 1). Cut off about 1/8 inch all the way around to make a slightly smaller heart pattern (Image 2). When the heart is placed inside a colored paper heart, it should create a border effect (Image 3).

Trace the scrap paper heart onto a different-colored piece of paper and cut out eight hearts (Images 1 + 2). You can also cut out a square that fits in the center of the card (Image 3).

Prepare Photos
Cut off another 1/8 inch around the heart pattern (Image 1). Print out six photos that fit inside this smaller heart (Image 2). Trace the heart onto each photo and cut them out (Images 3 + 4).

Glue Together
Using a glue stick, attach colored hearts and center square, if you made one, and then glue the photos on top (Images 1 + 2). Glue the two extra hearts onto the back of the card (Image 3).

Fold Into Shape
Once the glue is dry, flip the card over and fold each side backward (Image 1). Then you should be able to fold each half into the center to make a small square (Images 2 + 3).
