Karen's Bio
Karen E Laine, a former attornery, brings legal expertise, community-mindfulness and spirited enthusiasm to the unique home-renovation team featured in the HGTV series Good Bones. Her and her real estate daughter, Mina Starsiak Hawk, own an Indianapolis-based home renovation business with a mission to revitalize their favorite neighborhoods one house at a time. The series follows the expert and dedicated team as they buy homes in serious disrepair, sometimes gut them to the studs, then transform them into stunning remodels for resale. Proceeds from the flips are then channeled into future renovations, helping enhance communities and historic neighborhoods. Karen and Mina have also been featured in the HGTV event-series, A Very Brady Renovation and as judges in the Property Brothers' competition show Brother vs. Brother.
