Who says appliances have to be boring?! On a recent episode of Fixer to Fabulous, hosted by fixer-upper experts Jenny and Dave Marrs, homeowner Gayatri requested a fun and vibrant kitchen to match her family’s lively energy.

Inspired by a sign hanging in the old kitchen that read “This Kitchen is Made for Dancing,” Jenny chose one item to create a total “wow” effect: a hot pink Italian range with brass pulls and knobs from ILVE.

Obviously, the appliance worthy of Barbie’s dreamhouse was an instant hit with Gayatri. Her reaction was maybe the best we've ever seen.

“Oh! The pink stove! You nailed it with the pink stove!” she exclaimed during the reveal. “I didn’t even know that was a thing that could happen!"

The most iconic moment of the episode: when Gayatri christened her new range. "I’m going to name her probably Ophelia," Gayatri mused. "She’s a legend.”

Dave was skeptical that the in-your-face hue might be too much, but Jenny’s instincts paid off. “I knew she’d love the pink stove,” Jenny told Dave. “I told you not to doubt my pink stove.”

Jenny balanced out the brightness of the range with creamy gray cabinets (French Gray by Farrow & Ball), white countertops and hexagon-shaped white tile with yellow lines from SomerTile.

After the episode premiered, Jenny shared an update on Instagram: “I'm happy to report the following update straight from Gayatri, ‘Ophelia is amazing! She rocked Thanksgiving and now onward to Christmas dinner!’”

Maybe this is a sign we all need an Ophelia in our kitchen — a.k.a that appliance that makes us oh-so happy.
