When interior designer Amanda Lindroth was tasked with redesigning this 1960s Bahamas vacation home, she wanted to bring a vintage look back into the design of the space, while also giving a nod to its historic past. The home was once owned by Jack Heinz of the ketchup brand, and visited by friends of the family, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and her sister Lee Radziwill, as a wintertime vacation getaway.

The three-story home was first gutted and rebuilt as a more modernized vacation villa. One of the elements added during the renovation is the coral stone that can be seen on the home’s exterior and on the walls of the entryway. The stone gives the home a tropical look and also provides a neutral backdrop for the colorful furnishings Lindroth incorporated into the design.

The outdoor patio furniture has a vintage feel that “would have been the same during the Jackie O visits,” Lindroth explains. While the furniture has a distinct vintage look, it also perfectly complements the home’s pretty pink exterior.
