Top-notch contractor Israel “Izzy” Battres, best known for his work on HGTV’s smash hit, Flip or Flop, now stars in the network’s new occu-series, Izzy Does It, which premiered on February 5th, 2025. The series follows Izzy’s bustling home renovation family business as he uses his expertise, relatable budgets and cost-saving techniques to bring luxury designs to homeowners. Based in their hometown of Santa Ana, California, Izzy works alongside his wife and designer, Lily; his stepson and apprentice, Joseph; his stepdaughter and marketing lead, Brianna; and his brother and project manager, Rudy “Rude Dog.” During the eight hour-long episodes, Izzy manages a rollercoaster of emotions as he grows his business while completing spectacular renovations. Izzy hopes the series will create a lasting family legacy and provide clients with their dream homes.

Beginning construction in his 20s, Izzy was trained by his father before becoming a contractor. He then founded his company Battres Construction, which completes more than 60 projects a year, and employs many of his own family members. Izzy first appeared on HGTV in 2013 on Flip or Flop and has since appeared in Christina on the Coast and The Flip Off.

Izzy lives in Santa Ana, California, with his wife Lily and one of their children, Joe.
