Reclaimed + Refined

Simplicity and quality reign supreme in industrial-Craftsman style. Inset white Shaker cabinets pair with crisp white countertops for a clean-cut setting that is infused with warmth from the rustic island and hardwood floors and ceiling. An exposed-pipe light fixture and wood-and-metal barstools add a decidedly industrial feel to the space.

Timelessly Current

Craftsman homes lean into the handmade, the unique and the natural. The pitched plank-and-beam ceiling of this living space delivers a one-of-a-kind architectural element that, combined with the lantern chandelier, is reminiscent of Old World grandeur. Leather-and-metal chairs are a perfect mix of contemporary and classic designs.

The Right Hues

Industrial Craftsman tends to stay in the neutral lane of colors, yet some time-honored shades add rather than distract from the overall effect. Cadet-blue cabinets clad in concrete countertops have an almost achromatic look, while still infusing the space with color. Windows trimmed in natural wood bring in instant warmth.

Broaden the Limits

Original Craftsman homes were darker and closed off. As the style has adapted over the years, it maintains its love of woodworking, exposed beams and strong lines, but has adopted an open-concept layout and lighter colors. This expansive living room mixes dark wood beams with painted white tongue-and-groove walls. Heat lamp-inspired pendants with exposed piping create an industrial vibe in the dining area.
