Awww-Inspiring Farm Animal Moments Spotted by HGTV Stars
Our HGTV hosts didn't choose farm life — farm life chose them. Ahead, the cutest, fluffiest, happiest animal moments from our farm-loving stars.
There’s one thing HGTV stars love as much as turning a house into a home: farm life — and, boy, is it adorable. Luckily, our hosts generously spread the cuteness of their ducks, cows, goats and more. Ahead: some of HGTV stars’ most “awww”-inspiring, farm-life moments.
Jonathan Knight
Farmhouse Fixer host and member of New Kids on the Block, Jon, found himself among another group of five during a recent snow storm. He shared a video of his adorable flock of ducks headed out to enjoy some time in the snow. One duck in particular, Max, has a heartwarming story. “Always the leader. Crazy we rescued him off the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Now he’s on a farm living in a barn with other ducks next to a farm pond. ❤️ Sweetest boy ever,” said Jonathan.
Chelsea and Cole DeBoer
Chelsea, co-host of Down Home Fab with her husband Cole, put it best in an Instagram post she shared of a furry calf just before Valentine’s Day. “Girls don’t want flowers for Valentine’s Day. We want cows.”
Obviously, she has a soft spot for farm animals. “We like to name our animals a lot of human names. Mainly, dad and grandpa names,” she told HGTV. “I have a whole list of animal names on my phone that I need to use up.” The newest addition to their fam is a too-cute-for-words multicolor baby goat born March 7. Stay tuned for what human name the DeBoers pick.
Christina Hall
Once a California coast girl, Christina has embraced the farm life on her new show Christina in the Country. But she’s still bringing a little glam. She recently shared a video on Instagram of her bathing and blow drying her favorite chicken, Hennifer. “What the heck are you doing?” her husband Josh asks behind the camera. “She needed a bath!” says Christina. The video concludes with Hennifer looking fluffy, fresh and fabulous, of course.
Jenny and Dave Marrs
Animals are members of the family at the Marrs’, and for her birthday this year, she received not only a giant birthday card from her kids but two new lambs, too. “After waving the kiddos off to school and heading in to sit with coffee in front of the fire, Dave called from the car with more excited voices letting me know new babies arrived this morning in the pasture! I raced outside in my bathrobe and slippers to greet our newest arrivals,” Jenny shared on Instagram. A few days later, the Fixer to Fabulous hosts welcomed two more lambs to the farm, David and Jacob. (These sheep moms don't get a break!) “When you’re just trying to eat your breakfast but you’re a twin momma…” Jenny captioned a video on Instagram as the four little lambs get into mischief.
