“We're still catching up to the reality of it," said Becky. "You never think you're going to be that person. But someone gets to be, and I'm ecstatic it's me and my family.”

Becky, a former teacher who now works as a development and community professional at a local elementary school, lives in Seattle with her husband, Jerry, their two children, Kate and Joey, their dog, Sam, and their cat, Sarge. She faithfully entered the HGTV Smart Home sweepstakes twice a day, every day, with the help of the daily email reminders. And it paid off; Becky's name was drawn from over 106 million entries.

The Reveal

Becky's daughter, Kate, lured her to the reveal location under the guise of taking family photos. After the first few snapshots, however, HGTV Smart Home designer Tiffany Brooks surprised Becky with the news of a lifetime: She was the winner of a brand-new home in Naples, Florida, $100,000 from LendingTree and a 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet.

The Home

The inviting coastal getaway, located just off a golf course about 25 minutes from the pristine beaches of Marco Island, is packed with high-tech touches such as a package sanitizing station on the front porch and a hydroponic veggie garden in the pantry.
