“A neutral entry with a jolt of color matches the rest of this Arlington, Texas, house,” says designer Anissa Allen. “Here’s a spot that gives the impression of, Wow, these people probably throw a great party, and they do!” says designer Diane Rath of this Fairfield, Connecticut, space. There’s fab-ness thanks to scallop wallpaper and a marble checkerboard floor, and a playful edge from the lip art and starburst light. The only challenge: getting visitors to keep walking once they come in.

Arranged in a wide planter, flowers look even more inviting and pro-esque.
