Boozy Bourbon + Peach Summertime Smash
Just one sip and you'll agree: Bourbon + peach = a match made in cocktail heaven. Best of all, this not-too-sweet summery sip is a snap to make by macerating the fruit overnight for a perfectly peachy syrup.

Ingredients
- 3 large yellow peaches
- 3/4 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- cold ginger ale
- fresh mint leaves
- fresh peach slices as garnish
Materials
- rocks glasses
- muddler
- lidded glass container for macerating peaches overnight

Macerate Peaches (1-3 Days Before Party)
Wash and cube peaches, leaving the skin on. Place cubed peaches in lidded glass container and top with sugar and bourbon. Cover and place in fridge overnight to allow the fruit to macerate – releasing its juices into the bourbon and, in turn, drawing the bourbon into the softened fruit. Tip: The technique of soaking fruits in a liquid to create a fruit-infused syrup is called 'macerating' – macerated fruit is not only delicious in cocktails, it’s also a flavorful topping for ice cream and pound cake.

Mix Cocktails
Add 1/4 cup of boozy peaches and syrup to each rocks glass. Add 3 fresh mint leaves. Muddle to bruise the mint and release even more boubon-soaked juice from the peaches (Image 1). Top with cold ginger ale and garnish with a fresh peach slice (Image 2).
