Jenn Todryk’s energy is palpable through any type of screen: phone, television, tablet or laptop. It’s as glowing as her mane of red hair — the obvious namesake for her ever-popular Instagram handle @theramblingredhead. If you’re a long-time Jenn fan, you knew this before Season 1 of her home makeover show No Demo Reno aired on HGTV back in March 2021.
Before the premiere, Jenn had already amassed a loyal Instagram following of more than 700,000. She’d published a blog post-gone-viral, then a book based on the blog post, but her success with social media, we’re guessing, lies mostly in the fact that she’s her quirky, buoyant, laugh-out-loud self 100% of the time — a trait she’s never letting go of, especially when it comes to No Demo Reno.
She reiterates this while on set, filming for Season 2. “I’m focused on being true to who I am and staying grounded,” she says, adding she does it for her followers, particularly those who’ve been with her since “before HGTV entered the picture.”
Her efforts have paid off. More than 25 million viewers tuned in to Season 1 to watch her complete stunning home overhauls in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; her Instagram following hit 1 million; and amidst all the post-Season-1 buzz, HGTV re-signed her for a second 10-episode season.
Jenn the Designer
On a macro level, Jenn’s strength in design lies in her ability to come up with cost-effective ideas and clever solutions. Basically, she’s full of easy tips and tricks that’ll transform a home — often without removing walls or tackling a large-scale demo.
If you look closer, you’ll notice Jenn’s authentic approach to her life and career bleeds into her mentality as a designer. She works within each home’s existing footprint and strives to stay true to the original architecture, which ultimately saves her clients money, time and stress. Even when it comes to the designs themselves, “I like to let the homes lead me,” she says. “If a home is traditional, I'm going to lean more traditional.”
In a recent Instagram post, Jenn praised older homes for their rare and classic charm. “Coziness and character are expensive to replicate in houses these days," she wrote, touting the coziness of built-ins, stacked molding and small nooks. "Walls aren’t bad and separated smaller rooms can be super homey. Leave the walls alone, people. That’s all I’m sayin'."

Jenn the No Demo Reno Host
Jenn’s kooky charm is what makes No Demo Reno so entertaining. The fact that the show reflects her personality ("Fun, quirky, different!") is no coincidence. “Even if someone doesn't want to renovate their home, I want them to [watch], because it makes them forget about their life, and it's fun and it’s funny and it’s entertaining, and even weird!” she says.
As popular as Season 1 was, Jenn knows Season 2 will be even better. Her design style, which she describes as organic-modern, mixed with industrial, mixed with traditional (“That sounds like a weird design baby, and it kind of is.”) has evolved in the past year. A second season also offers bigger budgets, which means more money to play with while designing.

Perhaps one of the most exciting reveals in Season 2 will feature Jenn’s best friend, who agreed to have her home renovated for the series. Jenn had fun ensuring the final design would be a complete surprise, but she admits, “It’s terrifying. You think about it before you go to bed at night, and while it was an honor to do it, I'm not gonna lie: I definitely shed some pounds from sweat dripping off my back.”
Fans can also expect fuller plot lines spotlighting more non-invasive reno ideas, as well as a plethora of colorful designs. “I'm really excited,” says Jenn. “We also had some of the original crew come back, which was great, and I got to meet new faces. It’s been an amazing experience. I can't wait for everyone to see, not only my hard work, but everyone's.”
Jenn at Home
It’s no surprise Jenn’s stardom hasn’t taken away from her busy pre-HGTV lifestyle. She’s still an avid Instagrammer who cares about her followers (“They’re kind of like my family.”), a fashion guru, a coffee shop owner and a mother of three kids, who, she assures us, could not care less that she’s on television. “I can't even get them to sit down and watch a full episode,” she says. “I’m just mom. I’m too strict. I make them pick up their room, and it ticks them off.”
Naturally, Jenn has a lot going on, which begs the question: How does she balance it all? “I have help. I have a lot of help!” she says. “I am not a superwoman. I am a woman like everyone else. I’m tired all the time. I have a village around me full of people I trust who help with my kids when I'm filming. I have a husband. Mike is fully in charge of Armor Coffee, and we really are in business together in everything we do. At the end of the day, I have help because I have to have help.”
It’s been a year and a half since Season 1 of No Demo Reno premiered on HGTV, and though Jenn’s life (and Season 2) might look a little different, there’s one thing that’s certain to stay the same: Jenn.
“At the end of the day I am Jenn Todryk. I started on social media — I'm one of those weird social media people,” she says. “My followers know who I am. I share a lot of my life on social media, and I want that to be reflected in the show.”
