All the Details on HGTV's 'Battle on the Beach' Season 3

Our favorite HGTV-hosts-turned-mentors are back and ready for a beach-reno battle. Who will take home the Season 3 win?

Updated on May 22, 2023

UPDATE: MAY 5, 2023

Cool competition series Battle on the Beach hits HGTV Sunday night, June 4 at 9|8c with six fresh episodes. This year, three skilled teams of up-and-coming home renovators are headed to vacation hotspot Gulf Shores, Alabama. They'll be coached by mentors and design experts Taniya Nayak (Build it Forward), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block) and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), who will work nonstop to complete weekly renovation challenges across three seaside homes.

But, this year, there’s a twist: The homes are no longer identical.

All three properties have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but one house is 200-square- feet larger than the others. The teams will go head-to-head in a kick-off challenge to determine which property they will overhaul. With just six weeks and a tight $90,000 budget, Taniya, Ty and Alison will help their teams complete the transformations while judges Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Renovation Island) and a team of local real estate experts determine which home is the most valuable. The winning designers recieve a $50,000 cash prize.

The first episode spotlights kitchen and dining room makeovers. As the season continues, Taniya and Alison, who each have a Battle on the Beach win to their credit, and Ty, who is fighting for his first victory, will guide their teams — married couple Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh of Uniontown, Ohio; friends Ashley Basnight and Steve Lewis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and friends Ben Argall and Pete Meldrum of the Upper Peninsula, Michigan — as they take the living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor spaces from dull to dreamy.

With help from their HGTV mentor, three new teams of two designers will compete to renovate identical beachfront properties in a soon-to-be-announced location. The team who adds the most value to their home — and wows judges Sarah and Bryan Baemler of Renovation Island in the process — will walk away with a cash prize.

Last season’s renos blew fans away, but Alison Victoria’s team stole the ultimate victory.

This season ... anything could happen.
