Take a Sneak Peek at HGTV's 'Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge' Home
Progress report: The Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge is on. HGTV stars are working around the clock to deck out the Los Angeles-based home in Barbie-cool furnishings from across the decades.
Barbie is pretty much all we're thinking about. Anyone else? Luckily, in the name of Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge, our favorite HGTV stars worked their design magic to create a lifesize, blinged-out Barbie dollhouse. Though producers are keeping the home's transformation under wraps — we'll all have to tune in on July 16 at 8|7c when the episode-by-episode reveal begins — several Los Angeles-based influencers toured the unfinished home and posted some progress pictures on social media.

They didn't give much away, but from what we can see, the entryway — boasting the iconic logo, various shades of hot pink and black-and-white striped curtains — has been totally Barbie-fied ('90s style). It's classic Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block), the duo tasked with decking out the exterior. Knowing them, the finished design will be perfectly over the top. (See their uber creative Rock the Block house.) As for the inside, seven more teams of two HGTV stars each are taking their respective areas of the home to new decades. Literally.
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson (Married to Real Estate) have been tasked with renovating the living room, dining room and entry to reflect the '90s. Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House) and Antonia Lofaso of Food Network will be taking the kitchen back to the '60s, while, over in the main bedroom suite, Jon Knight and Kristina Crestin (Farmhouse Fixer) are going '80s. Dynamic duo Ty Pennington (Rock the Block) and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) are taking on the '70's in Ken's den. And in Y2K style, Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt will give the backyard a 2000s-era makeover. The final two spaces, the dressing room and Barbie's office, will showcase the best Barbie — past, present and future. Christina Hall and James Bender (Christina on the Coast) and Michel Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle (Luxe For Less) will be designing each, respectively.
Whew: What an HGTV crew! July 16 can't come soon enough. Check back here for all Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge updates.
