WATCH: Aubree DeBoer Hosts Epic Gingerbread House Competition
Down Home Fab hosts Cole and Chelsea DeBoer battle it out for best gingerbread house design. So, who did Aubree choose as the winner?
We know Chelsea and Cole Deboer, hosts of HGTV’s Down Home Fab, know a thing or two about decorating real houses — but we wondered: how much do they know about decorating gingerbread houses?
In the spirit of the holiday season, the creative husband-and-wife duo agreed to participate in a gingerbread house decorating competition, hosted by none other than their oldest child, Aubree DeBoer. “This is Cole DeBoer, my dad — and Chelsea DeBoer, my mother,” Aubree said while kicking off the competition.
With just 30 minutes to complete their gingerbread house looks, Chelsea and Cole had to quickly come up with their strategies.
“I’m just going to make her look pretty,” Chelsea said.
“I’m a free flowing artist,” Cole said. “My ideas come to me as I go.”
Though the competition got messy — Cole enjoyed eating the decorations while adding them to his house — the end results were nothing short of impressive. (We should've known these two can decorate just about anything.)
