If you’ve been watching HGTV for a few years, chances are, you know who Alison Victoria is. Best known for her witty personality and incredible design skills, the interior designer has been on a number of HGTV shows and, when she’s not filming, takes to Instagram to stay in touch with followers and fans. While Alison keeps it real on her shows and social media, ahead, discover 11 things you might not have known about her.

Alison Victoria turned 40 in 2020.

On Oct. 31, 2020—yup, she’s a Halloween baby—she celebrated turning the big 4-0.

“This is 40,” says her caption on a photo of herself in a bikini. “Surrounded by love and laughter and looking forward and not backward. Here’s to 40 more with my fabulous friends that have made this one extra special.”

Alison has been a part of six different shows.

While you may know her best from Windy City Rehab and Ty Breaker, Alison has also starred in Kitchen Crashers, Flipping Across America, Design at You Door and Rock the Block. Speaking of, Season 2 of Rock the Block premieres in March 2021!

She has a couple of sentimental tattoos.

Alison isn’t a stranger to ink. Following the passing of her father, the 40-year-old HGTV host got his signature tattooed on her wrist. Before that, following the loss of her dog Wesley, she got a “W” inked on her other wrist.

She loves skin care.

Alison is a self-proclaimed skin-care addict. Along with her daily regimen, the HGTV star loves to treat herself to Hydrafacials, so much so that she regularly does giveaways of them for her fans.

She’s friends with David Bromstad.

Alison and David go beyond working together—they’re actually friends! Pretty much any time Alison posts a photo of him to her feed, she keeps it simple, calling him her love (only with not so many words and a heart emoji instead).

She’s totally unfiltered.

After working with Alison on Ty Breaker, Ty Pennington opened up about his co-host. “Alison, oh my God. She is ... Talk about a firecracker. She's like an M-80," Ty said in an interview with PopCulture. "I actually went to Chicago to meet with her before any of this even took part and just talking with her, I was like, 'Oh my God. This woman could run a nation. What is going on?' So I was just like I loved how unfiltered her responses were to anything and I was like, 'Okay, I like this.' That's the way she is every day and it's the way she is on TV and that's what I look for, it's just that authenticity."

Alison grew up in Chicago’s iconic John Hancock building.

Sitting alongside Lake Michigan, the John Hancock building stands 100 stories and over 1,100 feet tall. While many tourists visit the building for its observation deck and incredible views, Alison grew up within its walls—on the 45th floor, to be exact.

She threw the first pitch in a Cubs game.

Growing up in Chicago, Alison is a longtime Cubs fan. And, in 2020, she got to throw the first pitch.

She’s a champion for rescue pets.

Alison works closely with PAWS Chicago, the city's largest no-kill humane organization, to raise awareness for fostering and pet adoption.
