Mimi Tin lives in the Pinewood Forest community south of Atlanta whose neighbor is Pinewood Studios where blockbusters like Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man, Black Panther and Spider-Man: Homecoming were shot. From her rooftop she can see the backlot where action scenes are shot. The Pinewood Forest development was conceived as a place where actors or executives working at Pinewood could live or rent. Mimi Tin's 1,280 square foot three-level home boasts two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths and combines industrial touches like the exposed brick wall in her kitchen with chandeliers, white upholstered furniture, floral motifs and a decidedly feminine sensibility.

Commanding a great corner lot, Mimi Tin's narrow and tall home, with its rooftop deck, has the look and feel of a ship. Mimi's previous home was a loft in downtown Atlanta but she says of her new Pinewood Forest home, "I like having my own space, but being in the middle of everything." This relatively new development outside of Atlanta features restaurants, a medical facility and a variety of amenities and options for residents.

"I wanted a space where people could chat," says Mimi of her home's ground floor design, with the kitchen on one side open to the living room on the other end. An open steel staircase in the middle of the space continues the airy feel. Mimi found the chandelier in her kitchen in Paris.

The vintage Twenties-era brick in Mimi's home is from Chicago and was sliced into pieces to create the look of an exposed brick wall and add to the historic vibe in this otherwise thoroughly modern home.
